Saturday night I hung out with V-Foundation, Byrdman, V's mom, and some other random people. I opened a conversation with a dude with weird hair and totally stuck my foot in my mouth. I pushed through that and met some other people. Namely some girls. Then JRez called me to go to Lawrence where we hung out with some interesting people. I thought we fought against some odds to have a good time and provide a positive attitude. There were some people we were hanging out that I don't get the warm and fuzzies around but all I could do is be as positive as possible. There were some hotties there as well, I was not intimidated or impressed. So that was good! I missed most of the Nascar race, but it sounds like Kyle Busch won. Tony Stewart sounds like he got screwed. I hope the Royals play today. I need to buy decent brown shoes and a decent brown belt to go with my Brooks Brothers pants. So to wrap up. 2 points for opening up a guy 2 points for opening up and talking to some girls, met new people. Stayed positive positive positive!

Friday and Saturday

Friday came and went. I watched some Nationwide action at Hooters with Ryan, KVF, and Jason. I had the club sandwich and it was better than I thought it would be. Hooters has a reputation of sucking, but it was good along with their delicious fried pickles. There were tons of cleavage around and that is always good. I woke up on Saturday and talked to my mom for awhile. That was good. I am trying to get her out to watch some Sporting KC with me. Ole! Nascar is on tonight, then I get a custom chiefs necklace this lady made for me tomorrow. It should be a good weekend.

patience

I have been praying for patience in my everyday life and it has helped me slow down a little bit. Most of my anxiety comes from "I want to be somewhere else now, or I want this now, or I am afraid of losing this" Sporting KC is off this week so I will probably just be hanging out and watching the NFL draft this weekend. Nascar is at Richmond as well. Go Dale Jr. #88. Dale Jr. hasn't won any races lately but he has been very consistent. He will be in The Chase for the cup if he stays strong.

Chiefs Draft

I hate the Chiefs draft. I hate that pick as another defensive lineman. Oh well Dorsey will be out of here at the end of the year, so this move probably made sense. When the crap are they going to get a QB is the real question. Royals won today. Hell yeah!

Royals Win

Alright the Royals finally got a win yesterday! Sweet! Hosmer with the opposite field jack. I think they get back on track to .400 baseball now. Everything has been going good lately. Pizza shoppe with friends, black dog with friends, just enjoying the spring. The NFL draft is coming up so that is one more thing to do. I also enjoy walking outside in the spring as well. I can't complain in this moment in time, I am healthy, happy, and free!

On Sunday I woke up and went to the Kansas Speedway. I got there at 8 and people were already getting after it, cooking meat, waving Dale Jr flags, drinking Busch Light. I was able to walk around with my dad and look at the stuff they had set up outside until the race. Kenny Wayne Sheppard had a pre-concert. It was a good show. Then the race started. Those cars haul ass around the track. On TV The races seem to take for ever, but in person it seemed to go by fast. (Pun intended) It was a great time. I am blessed I am healthy and I am glad something dumb didn't happen like me hitting a deer or something to prevent me from seeing cars going fast and turning left.

Friday

Friday I went out to Buffalo Wild Wings. There was a bunch of kids running around with "Brett Brothers" baseball uniforms. Since there is a traveling AAU team called Mac and Sietz for Mike Mcfarline and Kevin Sietzer I thought maybe this was for George and Ken Brett. Nope I look over and there is Joe Randa. I didn't talk to him because I don't want to be "That guy" It was cool to see him out. Later I watched the first 40 minutes of Inglorious Bastards. That is a great movie. Tonight The Royals try to stop their streak, and Sporting KC tries to win again. Sporting will be tired as hell because they just played on Wednesday. Should be a great day to do nothing. Tomorrow is nascar and I am as excited as a dog with two peters.

Stuff

I have been busy lately. Meeting with Joe at the Black Dog. Hanging out with Kris. Working hard! I saw Dr. Hotstuff MD the other day. She is cool, I met her at the Black Dog. She is very nice. There was another girl who works at the Black Dog who snuck up on me with her hotness. I had a good banter with her, then a couple days later I just opened a conversation with random girls and it was her. We bantered some more and I tried to exchange numbers, but she didn't agree. Felt good to start banter with a girl, not be like "Oh I am sorry for even bothering you your hotness" then finish with trying to meet up later. I have a bad habbit of bowing down to hot girls and other people when we are all created equally by God. So I feel good, been doing the things I want in life. Sporting KC is doing awesome, the Royals are sucking balls and Nascar is this weekend. All is good. I spend sometime planning out my day in the mornings. It is important for me to have a good frame of mind for the entire day. I know that people, places, things, and being tired, are going to try to take me out of that frame. I ask God to really help me stay in the frame of mind of providing value to the world, to be selfless, and to have a positive attitude. Even when I hit on girls it is always from the frame of mind of, "Me meeting people will put value in this world" I have traits that are positive and can be shared.

Wednesday

Monday and Tuesday were both great nights for baseball. Unfortunately the Royals suck and are really pressing right now. All the hitters are either out in front of the slow pitches or behind the fastballs. I thought Hosmer and Gordon would be playing better than this. Speaking of playing....I asked the girls in front of me "If since they were from Detriot do they know Eminem? Do they watch Robocop all day long? My parents and Kris were cheering on the Royals. Who cares if they suck right? I was called Old and Nerd by this other girl....that will be a seperate blog though.

Monday

Monday was pretty good. Worked enough to buy Brooks Brothers pants. I then went to the K and watched the Royals lose an exciting game. You can win if you don't play and you can see Alex Gordon make a great catch without showing up the the ball park.

Royals are looking like crap so far this year. Thank you Dayton Moore for addressing the pitching staff. The Penguins are embarrassing as well. They are thugging it up and still getting their asses kicked. Atleast I heve this beatiful Sunday to relax. Things have been going good as of late. I was sluggish today, but I was able to vacuum and watch the games today. Kris and I plan on going to the Royals gamw tomorrow. I am going to try to have fun even though the Royals have Royally pissed me off.

Sporting Saturday and The Royals clearing the benches

The Royals lost. The benches were cleared in what was an early season fiasco. Rough start for the boys in blue. They just don't have that punch (pun intended) that is needed. Sporting KC went out and kicked Real Salt Lakes ass. Two 5 and 0 teams. It was a battle that had players grabbing their shorts in exhaustion 20 minutes into the game. The place was loud as hell. I chatted up some ladies at the game and asked one out. I wasn't going to, but I figured what the hell mine as well go down swinging. The tailgate was very nice, the rain was coming down and the wind sucked, but Ryan, Kris, and I had some fun. I didn't cook as much as I normally do and that worked out well. I met a "Joe" and a "John" at the tailgate and they were cool. A woman came by with a glass of wine and I the conversation went like this

Raphael: Is that wine....from a box?

Girl: Yes...it is gross...but I don't want to insult the people that I am with.

Raphael: Who are the people you are with? homeless people?

I probably wouldn't have called the people she was hanging out with "Homeless" if I was to do it over haha. After the game we went to dennys and Ryan got a plate of nachos. It was a fun night.

Thursday Friday and Saturday morning

Thursday I mostly just chilled. I can't remember what I did, I did have some nausua because I cut my calories down to 1200 and I wasn't used to that. I haven't talked much diet on here much because I have been trying to replace fries with veggies and stuff like that, but the hard core discipline went out the window when I went on a stretch of work and Alcohol Recovery stuff. There were days in the stretch of Feb-March that the only joy was going to come by eating bag of chips. I got through the stuff I needed to get done, now I feel great and can (one day at a time) keep on a stricter diet.

Friday.. Friday I woke up and prayed, I ususally pray when my mind just starts to get out of control (which it did) It gets out of control and obsesses about the dumbest shit. Like... "What am I going to do after work" The fact remains most days after work there could be a helicopter waiting to fly me to Eric Hosmers house and I would have to pass because I am stressed and tired. Ok back to my Friday, I worked and I felt pretty good. I came home and I bought some new clothes for the summer. I am really trying to look decent when I can. I went out to a UMKC womans soccer match and enjoyed the night. The girl I barely knew was actually pretty good, both teams were way better than I thought. I am used to seeing girls kick a ball 10 yards in kickball, there were a couple free kicks that rang off the post from 50 yards out.I said hi to the hot soccer player, and she didn't give me a dirty look or anything, "she said Hi and thanks for coming", I did a good job in not being a wuss-bag. She was around her family and I think her boyfriend. I still got in there and told her good game in a friendly manor. I still maintained my mindset for the night that I was there to watch soccer and not focus in on some blonde slam-piece that are a dime a dozen down at the power and light. *Scene transition*

I then went down to power and light and met up with "The Elder Statesman" and Byrdman. I began to talk to anyone and everyone. There are 25 girls down there that are flat out tens. Not cute girls, flat out playboy models. Now this isn't even counting the Hired Guns (the people working there). I opened up some of them with some non-sense and I wasn't nervous even with their giant ape boyfriends there. I made sure to present a fun vibe and it was all good. I went up to them (Now granted these girls don't get approached much because they are 10's and people are scurred) and asked "Are you girls from America?" When they responded yes..they asked me where I was from. I would say "I am not from around here as you can tell from my accent!" It got some laughs and chuckles but they soon got back what they were doing. I did talk to a group of Dental Hygentists who were on business trip and they had girls that were talking to us and partying. I also talked to a bachlorette party and there was a girl that liked me, but I felt like I was going into "Interview" mode with her just firing questions, so I wished her a good night and if I saw her again and she chased then you know it would have been "on" So overall I had a great time I just went out, had no fear, I can really tell at work that I am getting better at reading people and communicating better because I talked to so many people. Going out meeting men and meeting woman has really made me aware of how poorly I come across sometimes. I really strive to not mumble, to speak up, and to pay attention to what people are talking about. Not just the words but the tone. When I can match the tone of someone elses voice, I put them at ease for the most part.

Wed Thursday

I got my oil changed and got my teeth cleaned. I also hit on the hottest lady I have seen awhile yeesh I need to go to umkc soccer games. I almost got her number but she invited me to go watch her ball instead.

SKC

I went to the Sporting KC game last saturday. I had trouble finding people to go. My friend Jesse ended up going with me and it was ok. The start time hampered my ability to call people wankers and bagettes. The second half I rely got going telling Landon Donovan to go back to his home country!!! (he's from.the U.S.)

The B word

I went to the black dog on sunday and the girl that was a total b on last wednesday was a total b again..This time I think it was flirty. Score! We had a couple nicr interactioms and I think she knows who the big dog is. We have this saying down.at the pound. "keep biting!" I went up to this other pair of girls and said "do you come here oftrn and do you like coffee" that sucked but you know one of the girls there don't like coffee. Also I learned some people wear their wedding rings even if they are divorcdd to keep chumps away! Switching gears the Royals look ok as they are 2-2. Alex Gordon is struggling and for some unknown reason Yost sat Mouse and Gordon yesterday. That was dumb.

Weekend and Easter

This weekend was great. Friday I hung out with some friends. I watched the Royals opening game (they lost). Saturday I got some laundry done, went for a walk, got prepared for SKC. Sporting KC dominated the best team in the league. They kept the ball away from those wankers. The Royals won 2-1. They dismissed that wanker Vernon Wells and Pujols very awesome-like. Sunday night hung out with Joe. Fun!

Wednesday

Wednesday was alright, pretty busy. Jon, Ryan, and Kris and I went out to Black Dog where I talked to a medical student who was a woman. She was pretty and nice. She had a boyfriend so the conversation went like this.

Ray: Well you should give me your number and we can hang out sometime

Megan:I have a boyfriend.

Ray: Really? He sounds like a f-ing badass, whats his name? Ray? I heard that all Ray's are bad asses!

Megan: *laughs* noo and I never caught your name

Ray: Oh no big deal...it's ray

Megan: Hahaha

Jay: later went over to talked to some ladies. It was a proud moment because he went over without the aid of beer. So it was a fun night and we watched Chelsea play later on that night.

Monday and Tuesday

KU lost in the National Title game. They didn't get run out of the gym, they missed a shitload of open shots and lost to a better team. KU has a hell of a team coming back next year. Kevin Young is a ??? he was a hype man this year with his defense and his fouling ability, he can either step up or never see the floor again. Penguins beat the Bruins tonight, the playoffs is almost here for them, SKC has The Galaxy this weekend. L.A. is a huge draw and Livestrong Sporting Park will be packed. Ryan Newman won at Martinsville this last weekend.

People respond well to people who "Go for it"

So many people give me respect and certain things because I try different things "Like hot sauce" because I go for it. I keep hearing that kind of thinking in the media, by people, and by more people. So maybe it is true. I won't go for anything "big" today. I just want it down in my blog that it is a key part of life.

KU and Sporting KC

KU is going to the championship game tonight. That game was amazing against OSU. Lenexa was rocking pretty hard. Loud cheers of "Rock Chalk Jayhawk" were coming from my apartment complex. Kansas is the only team around here who is elite. Oh wait, maybe Sporting KC is as well. 1-0 win over Chivas USA gives them 12 points out of 12 points. A goal by C.J. Sapong got the party going. It was kind of a trashy game with the T.V. feed being crappy, but oh well. A win is a win. This weekend I felt pretty good, I hung out at the black dog coffee house and shot the shit with Kris and some other people. Overall life is good right now.

Lust and the Milkmen

Milkmen kept having sex with women, then the women had kids and started producing their own milk and the milkmen eventually were out of a job. Lust comes with a price!
