Wednesday

Woke up. I was less sick, but decided not to go to the gym. Went for a mild walk. Made it through work. Felt better. Halloween tomorrow. I like that moment where you were sick for awhile, then you are not sick. It is magical.

tuesday

No surprise that I am sick. Everyone is sick everywhere. It is not as bad as it could be. I didn't have to miss work, just some cold medicine and some COWBOY UP kind of macho man power that one would expect from a man born from the place where The Pony Express started and Jesse James ended.

Red Monday

Red Monday is here. I wore red all day, cause the chiefs are awesome! I woke up today and went to 24 hour fitness. It was a tougher workout than I expected. I really try to exchange some discomfort for some calories being burned, but today I really wasn't feeling it. I still walked for about 40 minutes, but I didn't run. I have been running more lately because I noticed that my workouts are pretty dang easy and for mental health and physical you are supposed to push yourself somewhat. Work went ok. My friend Mark at work must have been feeling crappy because he didn't talk too much. After work I went to a meeting, then jason, Traci, and I went to black dog. We had a good time. I made Traci feel bad because she didn't want to go to black dog, she wanted to watch the voice. I told her she is a bad friend for choosing a reality singing program over friends. She came out and we all had a good laugh. It is important for me to not take myself too seriously and have a good laugh everyday. I get very serious in my own head sometimes...like the weight of the world is on my shoulders. Looking at a packed arrowhead made it clear I am just one dude...a worker among workers.

Sports Weekend.

This week was pretty good. I have a friend named Mark at work who has made work not so sucky. On Saturday Mo West laid an egg and Pitt State played well. Sunday my parents and I went to the Chiefs game and it was beautiful out. The Chiefs won because they are awesome! I am a lucky dude to have so much sports and awesome in my life. George Brett even banged the drum at the start of the game. It looked awesome!


Sporting KC came up short in the supporters club shield which was a bummer, but I think SKC has a shot to do well in the playoffs because they have so much experience.

SKC Healthcare and that is about it.

I am finishing out the year which means I have to pay my own premiums from my old company. It is expensive, but I am going to pay it out until I am either able to get coverage from work, or if I can't get it through work I signed up for Coventry. So anyway there is always the fear that something dramatic will happen and I won't be covered, but that is why you are supposed to study hard in high school and college and get a good job, not steal cookies and sleep through Doctor Lossons classes. Digression. I was caught sleeping by Dr. Losson in High School and in college. Double word score! I went to SKC tonight. They played a Hondourus team. I will update later on.

Sports.

Mizzou is awesome-Missouri Western is awesome- Sporting KC is in the playoffs and has a shot at the supporters shield...the chiefs are off the chain. Dale Jr finished second today....Penguins are playing awesome...it's all good.

Week to Remember.

This week had many interesting things happen to me. I had good luck, but as the saying goes...The Harder I work....the luckier I get. On Tuesday a higher up in my work comes over to speak to me. I of course was like....well they are laying me off because we are not as busy as they thought. Instead of canning me, they asked me to work more hours which is good with the Holidays coming up and I am paid hourly. So that was good. I knew it would cut into my guitar and video game time, but I need some cash to pay rent and put funyons on the table. On Wednesday I picked up my tuxedo for Kris Von Germans wedding. On thursday I got a haircut, on Friday I got my teeth cleaned and I went to the wedding rehersal. Saturday a long day. I woke up and had to get stuff together for the wedding. Jason and I applied for a new apartment in my apartment complex. We didn't get accepted yet but we are trying. I don't make enough money to live by myself and living with Jason seems like an easy thing to do since he is trying to move out of his parents place. We went to the chili cook-off and it had good chili. My friend Reid was housing us before the wedding on saturday and the wedding was across the street. Jason is critical of my looks and the way I handle myself, but for this situation it was good because I don't want my actions to take away for the special day that Kris and Sarah had. I said some prayers and I really thought about the way I wanted to act. It was a nice honor to be in the wedding. The pictures came out well and the ceremony went well. We had a trolly and I spilled black dog coffee on my tux but it didn't really matter. The Reception was at Uptown Theater. Food was good. I was fed probably three times. A funny situation was that a Metal Band "HammerWeen" was playing at Uptown theater so there was all these crazy looking kids and then people with tuxes on. Anyway the reception was really fun. The girl I paired up with was very cute and very nice to me. This was a bonus for me because I have been bummed because girls could NGAF about me as of late. So having a charming lady next to me the night was great and I was just thankful. It seems for a month before the wedding things have just been a struggle to get through. Band sucks, chicks are not giving me attention, work is ok nothing great. I tried to have a good attitude and write out a gratitude list as much as I could. So now my luck for the time being has been good and I just have to thank God for the good times. Sunday was the chiefs game and you knew the chiefs were going to be awesome. Chiefs and Chopper baby. So anyway...in summery. Got my stuff taken care of Teeth, hair, tux. Wedding was great, chiefs were great, Jeep was great. Life is good.

Weird day

Weird day for sure today. I woke up and I decided to head to 24 hour fitness. Now I have been enjoying walking outside because it is nice out, but I want to make sure I go to 24 hour fitness to do some of the fun stuff there. I decide to do bench press, it sucks, but whatever. I do some triceps...that sucks....sometime lifting is fun, today wasn't one of those days. I get in the hot tub...it was alright. I am like what the hell, why am I in such a bad mood. It is Sunday it is game day. I know sometimes I have things going on in my mind that are sub conscience or even deeper. My only guess is that there is always this nagging feeling that no matter how much I go to the gym, or how much I walk, it is never going to be enough. I know that even if I had a perfect body, perfect girl, perfect everything...that stuff only stays good for awhile. I get my juice by giving back or helping people. I went to Hy-Vee to buy some food for the Chiefs game and I gave some money to the guys asking for money outside there. It was actually knights of columbus that was asking and I got a tootsie roll pop. I went and cooked in the park some meat on a grill and even that was alittle bit crappy. I was like...man what is going to get my mood going better. It was nice out and I did stop and enjoy good weather and a beautiful tree. I went to Adams and I had good food and the chiefs rolled. It was alright and I came home and I could tell I enjoyed the chiefs game. I didn't come out of my bad mood until later on in the night when I told Adam. "I think I lie to myself and say that if I had my own family I would work harder or make better choices, but I think even if I had a family I would still have days like today where I just can't change my mood." He agreed and I felt like that was a nice step because I think everyone is always trying to sell you something to make you feel complete, but it is a lie. Like in the movie Fight Club....YOU ARE ENOUGH...YOU AREN'T YOUR ****ing KAKHIES. I know that from a head to heart level, that who you are isn't what you own or how people react to you. Anyway after I talked to Adam I lightened up and I felt better. I also had massive amounts of black dog coffee, so that probably helped as well.

Saturday

Saturday I woke up and went for a walk. I then went back to sleep. I then woke up and drank some orange drink. Then I went to St. Joseph. My dad and I watched Mizzou for a bit then we headed to 54th street. I ate a delicious club sandwhich and my dad had the super nachos. His nachos were off the chain and my Turkey contraption was also off the chain. We then had gold club seats to the Mo West game. Mo West beat some team from Oklahoma by a bunch. Oklahoma is def...not "OK" I then headed back to Lenexa where I went for a walk. It was beautiful out. Tomorrow the Chiefs are going to play the Raiders. They will beat that ass to win another game..

Friday and the weekend.

A look at the weekend. Tonight USA soccer plays against the Bob Sled team. It won't be close...because the U.S.A. ain't nothing to funk with. Saturday is homecoming for M.W.S.U and Sunday the Chiefs will beat holy heck out of L.A. Raiders. Go Team Sports.

Sporting KC wrapping up their year-Nascar-Pittsburgh Penguins.

Sporting KC tied their sloppy game yesterday 0-0. It was pretty difficult to watch because both teams couldn't move the ball. Sporting KC is close to the Supporters Shield. That is the best team in the Regular Season and a trip in Championship League play. Pittsburgh Penguins are off to a fast start. Crosby is healthy and the team looks very balanced. Fluery is playing well in net after a disaster meltdown last year in the playoffs.

I have been going to Black Dog, watching sports, drinking diet cola, and working. That is my life. The weather has been great.

The Weekend.

The weekend went as well as I could have hoped. Two NASCAR RACES. Jeep didn't have an oil leak...got the recall on my jeep taken care of. Grilling/Nascar/chiefs win....picnic...black dog. All good things in my life. Life takes lots of work and lots of patience. Patience, work, sacrifice, and giving back.....that was what this weekend was about to me. I was also blessed with great weather. I like it nice and cool when I am spending all day outside.

Saturday.

Wow did Iowa State get screwed on Thursday. I caught some of the penguins. They won. I am at the jeep dealership right now getting work done on the 4x4. I was glad I woke up and felt good enough to go for a walk and get the jeep taken care of. The government is a bunch of crooks. Go #88 Mo West and of course chiefs.

Thursday

Thursday I woke up and went to the Gym. I wanted to see with my own eyes people working out to try to inspire me. I got through my workout. I went to work and I was of service. I then drove down to black and gold. I didn't want to go because our band isn't good nor focused, but I feel the need to get out of my apartment to work with people in the hopes that I can not be so selfish with my time. I pickup Albert and he is on the phone with 911. I guess he had a weird reaction with anti-depressants. We go and play at black and gold and it was ok, we don't know any songs (still), but I have come to just try to enjoy the company of people. Ryan found out that he is going to be in a new band, which is great because he is an elite guitar player. Albert was doing his thing. We wrapped it up early and there was a bad vibe because Ryan seemed annoyed that we still suck. I was just glad to be there, and Albert seemed to be out of it. I doubt we play anymore because it is pretty pointless, but it was fun while it lasted. I saw ashley there who is a girl I like that works at b and g. I was like "what up girl?" she was polite, but gave me no attention. I packed my stuff up and went onmy way.

Wednesday

Wednesday was a long day. I went for a very long walk. Work seemed to take awhile. I try not to eat until after work as eating saps my energy. So that probably made it seem like it took longer. I went to black dog at night. It was good. I have some very funny friends and it is easy to forget about all the work you did during the day when you are just kicking it on an OCT. night. Kris came over for a bit and we watched big bang theory. It is wedding pretty soon, good luck to him. Hockey opens up tonight with The Penguins versus the Devils. Go Pens Go. Blues have Nashville tonight. Go you blues. Wil Meyers struck out 3 times yesterday haha.

Tuesday

On Tuesday I went to work. I went for a walk. I watched baseball and some surfing movie. I also played on the internet. I finished my day by watching Manchester United.

Monday

Monday was pretty good. I went to work, but before I went to work I called in some issues with my apartment. I figured that they would be over after I left for work, nope they were there. So I took a shower with some dude fixing my garbage churner up thing. I then went to work. After work I went for a walk and went to a meeting. Then I came home and they didn't fix my fridge, they replaced it. That made me gitty because my old Fridge was a P.O.S. This one was all new. So that was enjoyable. I am making moves to move in with Jason at the start of the year. I have my doubts that this will go smoothly, but I will keep taking action. Royals finished up the year on Sunday. It was a good year and they were fun to watch. Best pitching and defense by any team I can remember. Holland was elite and Shields ate innings. Santana had a slider nastier than a mid-80's issue of Hustler. Overall I feel good and I am looking forward to football and nachos.
