Wednesday

Woke up. I was less sick, but decided not to go to the gym. Went for a mild walk. Made it through work. Felt better. Halloween tomorrow. I like that moment where you were sick for awhile, then you are not sick. It is magical.

tuesday

No surprise that I am sick. Everyone is sick everywhere. It is not as bad as it could be. I didn't have to miss work, just some cold medicine and some COWBOY UP kind of macho man power that one would expect from a man born from the place where The Pony Express started and Jesse James ended.

Red Monday

Red Monday is here. I wore red all day, cause the chiefs are awesome! I woke up today and went to 24 hour fitness. It was a tougher workout than I expected. I really try to exchange some discomfort for some calories being burned, but today I really wasn't feeling it. I still walked for about 40 minutes, but I didn't run. I have been running more lately because I noticed that my workouts are pretty dang easy and for mental health and physical you are supposed to push yourself somewhat. Work went ok. My friend Mark at work must have been feeling crappy because he didn't talk too much. After work I went to a meeting, then jason, Traci, and I went to black dog. We had a good time. I made Traci feel bad because she didn't want to go to black dog, she wanted to watch the voice. I told her she is a bad friend for choosing a reality singing program over friends. She came out and we all had a good laugh. It is important for me to not take myself too seriously and have a good laugh everyday. I get very serious in my own head sometimes...like the weight of the world is on my shoulders. Looking at a packed arrowhead made it clear I am just one dude...a worker among workers.

Sports Weekend.

This week was pretty good. I have a friend named Mark at work who has made work not so sucky. On Saturday Mo West laid an egg and Pitt State played well. Sunday my parents and I went to the Chiefs game and it was beautiful out. The Chiefs won because they are awesome! I am a lucky dude to have so much sports and awesome in my life. George Brett even banged the drum at the start of the game. It looked awesome!


Sporting KC came up short in the supporters club shield which was a bummer, but I think SKC has a shot to do well in the playoffs because they have so much experience.

SKC Healthcare and that is about it.

I am finishing out the year which means I have to pay my own premiums from my old company. It is expensive, but I am going to pay it out until I am either able to get coverage from work, or if I can't get it through work I signed up for Coventry. So anyway there is always the fear that something dramatic will happen and I won't be covered, but that is why you are supposed to study hard in high school and college and get a good job, not steal cookies and sleep through Doctor Lossons classes. Digression. I was caught sleeping by Dr. Losson in High School and in college. Double word score! I went to SKC tonight. They played a Hondourus team. I will update later on.

Sports.

Mizzou is awesome-Missouri Western is awesome- Sporting KC is in the playoffs and has a shot at the supporters shield...the chiefs are off the chain. Dale Jr finished second today....Penguins are playing awesome...it's all good.

Week to Remember.

This week had many interesting things happen to me. I had good luck, but as the saying goes...The Harder I work....the luckier I get. On Tuesday a higher up in my work comes over to speak to me. I of course was like....well they are laying me off because we are not as busy as they thought. Instead of canning me, they asked me to work more hours which is good with the Holidays coming up and I am paid hourly. So that was good. I knew it would cut into my guitar and video game time, but I need some cash to pay rent and put funyons on the table. On Wednesday I picked up my tuxedo for Kris Von Germans wedding. On thursday I got a haircut, on Friday I got my teeth cleaned and I went to the wedding rehersal. Saturday a long day. I woke up and had to get stuff together for the wedding. Jason and I applied for a new apartment in my apartment complex. We didn't get accepted yet but we are trying. I don't make enough money to live by myself and living with Jason seems like an easy thing to do since he is trying to move out of his parents place. We went to the chili cook-off and it had good chili. My friend Reid was housing us before the wedding on saturday and the wedding was across the street. Jason is critical of my looks and the way I handle myself, but for this situation it was good because I don't want my actions to take away for the special day that Kris and Sarah had. I said some prayers and I really thought about the way I wanted to act. It was a nice honor to be in the wedding. The pictures came out well and the ceremony went well. We had a trolly and I spilled black dog coffee on my tux but it didn't really matter. The Reception was at Uptown Theater. Food was good. I was fed probably three times. A funny situation was that a Metal Band "HammerWeen" was playing at Uptown theater so there was all these crazy looking kids and then people with tuxes on. Anyway the reception was really fun. The girl I paired up with was very cute and very nice to me. This was a bonus for me because I have been bummed because girls could NGAF about me as of late. So having a charming lady next to me the night was great and I was just thankful. It seems for a month before the wedding things have just been a struggle to get through. Band sucks, chicks are not giving me attention, work is ok nothing great. I tried to have a good attitude and write out a gratitude list as much as I could. So now my luck for the time being has been good and I just have to thank God for the good times. Sunday was the chiefs game and you knew the chiefs were going to be awesome. Chiefs and Chopper baby. So anyway...in summery. Got my stuff taken care of Teeth, hair, tux. Wedding was great, chiefs were great, Jeep was great. Life is good.
