Trying not to let things OWN ME
Well today was going good. Then I looked up my bank account. Whoa my last deposit didn't go through. It was a couple weeks ago. So I go on panic mode. Well I need to take the day off to solve this. I am going to call up US BANK and yell at them. Thinking off all that hard work and lost money was making me sick. I was determined to not let the situation own me. I prayed, I wrote about it, I am a greedy bastard and I want all the money I can get my grubby hands on. So I know I couldn't do anything but have a good attitude and do what I could to get the situation straightened out. Everything happens for a reason? I thought maybe this would be a learning situation for a bank teller, that they could learn that they screwed up my deposit and not let it happen with a more important customer. I just tried to be as positive as possible. At least I have a deposit to lose you know? Some people in Africa, they have no money or deposits, all they have is those flies that are always around their heads. The only deposit those people have is some dried rice in their mouths. So I wait until lunchtime to go over there, which is a miracle in itself because usually I would go over there right away. I go in pretty relaxed, not knowing what was going to happen. So the line is long. "Wow...life is really testing my patience today" "oh well, I am getting stronger as a person" this is what I thought to myself. I start flirting with the red-haired girl in front of me while waiting in line. That went well, I tried to get her number but she said she had a boyfriend. So ok I was in a better mood already...So after I got done putting my mack on I go to the teller who helped me very well and there was a black guy (New) who was also chatting with me who worked there. I explained how I handle rough customers and how it is tough working at a bank.
"People are mad or frustrated at the bank because they are scared of losing their hard earned cash, or time" Don't take thing personal and always come back to work. Keep working with customers and notice yourself get better. Overall I am glad to see a young guy like yourself out here getting yourself some...some experience, some money, some of life"
The black guy seemed to be really enjoying what I had to say and it made me feel better to just see a person out doing what it takes to make some money. I also was telling him how hard it was to put my mack on girls when it was so hot out. He laughed. My deposit situation was solved and I really was happy with the whole situation. Loss of romances and finances have always OWNED my entire day. With some prayer and some change of attitude the situation turned out t be special.
